Brookfield Place located in the Battery Park City area carries on New York City's tradition of being one of America’s most iconic and celebrated destinations.
A visit to the 14-acre, 5 building complex on the Hudson River in Lower Manhattan will impress any visitor. Some companies that are domiciled here include some of today's most innovative and celebrated companies with an emphasis on experience, culinary arts & shopping destinations - all centered around New York City!
Brookfield Place is a beautiful complex that contains both shopping and office space.
It's located in New York City, across West Street from one of America’s most famous landmarks-the World Trade Center towers
The buildings overlook the Hudson River
The World Financial Center, designed by architect César Pelli with Adamson Associates and built on landfill from the ground up to Battery Park City's old space.
The dirt excavated during trade center construction was also used for its building materials including garbage that had been collected over time
The lower floors of office towers underwent conversions and expansion to accommodate new retail. One notable example is 2 Brookfield Place: a European-style marketplace and dining terrace opened in 2013
As the area was being renovated, a food truck court was set up on North End Avenue. The food trucks that operate around New York City and serve a variety of foods, will be found at Brookfield Place/Battery Park City during lunch hours.
The new 2,000-seat food court is set to generate about $120 million of revenue annually. It's made up mostly of existing restaurants like Le District and Hudson Eats with some additions that are newer - but not too far away! The first phase opened in November 2014 while more places will open their doors by March 2015
The development of this area will bring in more tourists and contribute to the vitality of New York City. It's also planned so that it can serve as an economic catalyst for Battery Park City
